Louisville Metro Police and Kentucky National Guard personnel shot and killed McAtee, “while breaking up a ‘large’ group early Monday morning outside Dino’s Food Mart on 26th and West Broadway in the Russell Neighborhood.

Starting Saturday, May 31, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer implemented a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., as protests and unrest have continued over the death of Breonna Taylor.

Lucas Aulbach of the Louisville Courier-Journal reported that Mayor Fischer dispatched 350 Kentucky National Guard to “maintain peace and protect critical infrastructure.”
