ADOS BREAKING NEWS: WE NEED A NEW REPARATIONS BILL IN CONGRESS!

Los Angeles, CA (TheLENS) — In a stunning declaration, Duke professor and reparations author William A Darity says that HR 40 as currently written is insufficient for the interests of Black American descendants of slavery and the necessity of reparations.

On the Sunday evening August 23 episode of “Politics In Black,” Darity was the featured guest in a discussion centered on HR 40, also known as the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act. This act seeks to form a commission to review the merits of reparations for slavery and subsequent oppressions in the United States.

After a hour-long conversation on the history and elements of the bill, Darity stated, “Given the failure to allow the bill to be critically discussed, and the failure to provide the opportunity for the bill to be revised, my thinking is…it’s important to write a new bill altogether and move away from HR 40.”

“Politics In Black” is produced by the ADOS Los Angeles chapter, and hosted by Chad Brown and Friday Jones.
